Gooch Elementary won’t close its doors during winter break.
The Preston Hollow school is one of 11 campuses that will serve meals to students, even though class won’t be in session.
The cafeteria will provide a morning snack from 8-9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-noon from Dec. 28-30 and Jan. 3-6. The meals are free for anyone under the age of 18.
Roughly 86 percent of students districtwide receive free or reduced lunch.
