The Packers’ 34-31 victory over the Cowboys has left many Dallasites distraught with washed out Super Bowl dreams.

If it makes you feel any better — which it might not — the Packers running back is a St. Mark’s alumnus. Ty Montgomery graduated from the Preston Hollow school in 2011 before starting his college football career at Stanford as a wide receiver and kick returner. He was drafted by the Packers in 2015.

Montgomery has dreamed about playing running back at Texas Stadium since he was 9 years old, SportsDay reports, and the 23-year-old came close enough on Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

Most of us weren’t rooting for him this weekend, but it didn’t stop his family, including 17 siblings, from showing their Packer pride.

The Cowboys are inconsolable about the loss, but there’s always next year, as the Fort-Worth Star Telegram pointed out.
