A year after Dallas ISD trustees approved its $129.5 million interim bridge plan, the construction of W.T. White’s 30-classroom addition is underway.

WRA Architects, the firm overseeing renovations throughout DISD, released a video on Jan. 14 that provides updates on the project.

The North Dallas high school received $21.7 million from the interim bridge plan for window replacements and the new wing.

The construction is slated for completion in August.

The W.T. White community has become vocal about its needs, from increasing the school’s size to updating its facilities. Some of the complaints — such as the installation of opaque windows — have been resolved, but the high school remains at 130 percent capacity.
