Do you want to volunteer in Dallas? Connect with local nonprofits at the Community Volunteer Fair on Saturday. The Junior League of Dallas and Children’s Health co-sponsor this annual event, held at NorthPark Center from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.  While you learn more about Dallas charities, keep the kiddos preoccupied with activities such as face painting, balloon artists, a kid’s yoga demo and chef hat decorating. Get all the event details here.

Orville Rogers trained army pilots in World War II, then worked for Braniff Airlines and now holds a world record in the 1,500-meter run. The book “The Running Man” recounts his experiences in the air and on the track. Meet Rogers for yourself at Frontiers of Flight on Saturday during his presentation and book signing. Learn more about the event here.

The Jewish Community Center’s Best Date Night Ever includes live entertainment, dessert, a silent auction and dancing.  The fundraiser benefits the Goldberg Family Early Childhood Center, and proceeds will be used to create an interactive library and upgrade literacy resources.

The Museum of Biblical Arts is showcasing “Heroin of a Thousand Pieces: The Judith Mosaics of Lilian Broca,” and the George W. Bush Presidential Library partnered with The Sixth Floor Museum for “Amending America: The Bill of Rights Exhibit.” Learn more about both exhibitions here.
