Update: On Friday, Feb. 3, police released the victim’s name and also stated there were only two cars involved the crash. 

A pedestrian who was struck by three vehicles on Preston Road died early Wednesday morning.

Police have yet to identify the person, who was walking in the 11900 block of Preston Road when the crash happened at roughly 6:50 a.m. While two of the cars remained at the scene of the collision, the third vehicle fled the area.

Preston Road is one of our neighborhood streets that has frequent car crashes. Between 2009-2013, one pedestrian was killed at the intersection of Preston Road and Northwest Highway, and 12 people in the neighborhood were involved in crashes.
