The Gates of Bluffview apartments near Love Field may be redeveloped for the first time in more than 50 years.

Developer Trinsic Residential Group plans to overhaul the 10-acre property at 3932 W. Northwest Highway, the Dallas Morning News reports.

The 275-unit apartment complex, built in the mid-1960s, originally was named Sherwood Forest. Its elaborate exterior is similar to the demolished European Crossroads shopping center and Royal Coach Inn, which was popular when the Love Field neighborhood was in its heyday.
