Nazca Kitchen opened at The Hill Shopping Center the day the world was supposed to implode, but the South American eatery has thrived so much since Dec. 21, 2012 that it expanded to West Village. The casual restaurant’s second location at 3700 McKinney Ave. began serving customers in mid-April.

Fans of East Hampton Sandwich Co. can swing by the restaurant from 7-11 a.m. for a breakfast taco, croissant or toast. Its North Dallas location at 12300 Inwood Road is one of four throughout the city that now features a breakfast menu.

Sumo Shack is filling the void SMU Boulevard’s Banh Shop left when it closed in January. CultureMap reported that the founders of Wabi House on Greenville Avenue and Sapa House downtown are the masterminds behind the quirky Japanese restaurant, which will serve bao, Japanese hot dogs and ramen.

After opting to relocate to the suburbs, Dough Pizzeria said farewell to Preston Hollow this past month. “We focused on Plano because of the growth there, with Toyota opening its new headquarters, et cetera,” co-owner Brad Liles told CultureMap. “And co-owner Keith Hall and I both live in the area. Our Dallas branch has done well and has grown every year.”
