Six months after construction began, Costco is opening on Coit at Churchill.

The 150,437-square-foot store is expecting its first customers on Thursday, May 11.

The Washington-based company received $3 million in economic development funds from the city of Dallas to purchase the property, which costs $16 million total. The Texas Department of Transportation previously owned the 13-acre tract of land.

Costco estimates it will bring 225 jobs to the city.
