NorthPark Center’s home and garden show, Spring at the Park, is open through Monday, May 22. Explore exhibits dreamed up by Dallas’ best landscape designers and view photographs by well-known photographer Geof Kern. Juliette Fowler Communities is honoring Preston Hollow neighbor and former Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison as a 2017 Visionary Woman. The event recognizing Texas’ first female senator is slated Friday, May 12, at noon at the Omni Dallas Hotel. It is open to the public, and luncheon tickets cost $150. Proceeds benefit the organization’s annual fund One Heart.

The bagel run, a longstanding tradition at the Jewish Community Center, returns this Mother’s Day. Participants celebrate the holiday with a 10k, 5k or children’s race along Northaven Trail before chowing down at a bagel buffet. Every participant is given a T-shirt, and moms will receive fresh flowers, too. Registration costs $25-$30.  You can find more information here.
