A car wreck on West Northwest Highway near Frenchman’s Creek early Wednesday afternoon left one dead and two injured.

A woman was driving a black Saturn IonĀ eastbound when she lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the median, according to the Dallas Police Department. She struck a white Chevy Astro, which was then hit by another vehicle. The Saturn, which also collided with a white Chevy van, then swerved into Northwest Highway’s westbound lanes and crashed into a wooden utility pole.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire-Rescue. The driver and passenger of the Astro were taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
