A few electrical cords halted the burglary of a neighborhood tailor shop.

The business was broken into Wednesday, Sept. 6, in the 11700 block of Marsh Lane, according to the Dallas Police Department. The suspect threw a rock into the shop’s front door early that morning and attempted to steal the cash register. Since the machine was tangled with several cords, the suspect couldn’t grab it. Instead, he or she fled the building before police arrived after 7:30 a.m.

No one was injured and nothing was stolen. The Advocate will update this post if more information becomes available.
