NorthPark Center’s Pinto Ranch is raising money for Equest, which provides equine therapy to veterans and people with disabilities. Stop by the store Thursday, Sept. 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for door prizes, live music, margaritas and snacks. Dallas Police Officer Israel Marquez is stopping by the Preston Royal Library that same day to provide tips about prescription safety, frauds and scams. The event is slated from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Northaven Garden’s Succulent Care Class is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 30. Creative director Paula Spletter and Marilyn Hill will give insight on how to keep the plants growing and healthy. The class, which costs $30, begins at 1 p.m.
