A man barricaded himself inside his house for seven hours after firing shots at a family member.

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers arrived in the 10500 block of Berry Knoll Drive at roughly 12:30 p.m. The man reportedly fire shots at two people but missed both. He immediately holed up inside his home.

Police called SWAT. After roughly seven hours, the man agreed to leave his house. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault family violence.

Neighbors told CBS 11 reporter Yona Gavino that the man was upset that his father was being hospitalized.

His name has not yet been released. We will update this post when we learn more.
