Properties located at Northaven, Royal Crest and Woodfin will be featured on the AIA Dallas Tour of Homes. The annual event is slated Oct. 28-29 from 10 a.m.—5 p.m.

Homeowner and builder Tom Rau remodeled and expanded this modern house, which began as a roughly 2,200-square-foot ranch.

“We wanted to do something that was quiet, but has some elegance to it that inspired in some way,” says Joshua Nimmo, founder of Nimmo Architecture, in an interview with AIA.
