Scrooge’s disdain for the holidays hasn’t lessened one bit in four decades. Puppeteer Will Schutze brings Charles Dickens’ beloved character to life to insult adults and children alike on Christmas Eve, almost hourly at NorthPark Center.

Visit the 2005 White House’s Christmas display at the George W. Bush Presidential Center to see holiday murals, behind-the-scenes photos and an 18-foot Christmas tree. The display, themed “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” runs daily through Jan. 18 and is free with the $16 museum admission.

Enjoy a miniature train display that highlights the country’s iconic landmarks, from Times Square to the Golden Gate Bridge. The extravagant exhibition raises funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas through Jan. 7 at NorthPark Center.

This Saturday, enjoy “Santa’s Magic Key” story time at the Preston Royal Barnes and Noble at 11 a.m. Kids will enjoy a story about a boy who realizes his house doesn’t have a chimney for Santa and works to solve the problem.
