Fast-casual eateries rapidly spread throughout Preston Hollow in 2017. Longtime favorites reinvented themselves, and others — including a few neighborhood staples — succumbed to closure.
From chains to family-owned joints, here are the restaurants we’ve mourned this year:
- At only 2 years old, Preston Hollow Grill left us in late June. The cause of death is constant turnover.
- Dough Pizzeria shuttered in April after owners Brad Liles and Keith Hall opted to shift their attention to Plano.
- Increasing rent left the Romano’s Macaroni Grill on Northwest Highway completely lifeless in May. Its suburban siblings still remain.
CultureMap compiled a list of citywide restaurant closures, for those of you who are curious.
