Franklin Middle School is the second Preston Hollow public school to receive its International Baccalaureate designation. As an IB World School, Franklin is officially part of a prestigious global program that focuses on “unique academic rigor” and “emphasis on students’ personal development.”  Kramer Elementary was the first Dallas ISD school to receive the designation, which is a demanding three-year process.

The Dallas County Community College District Foundation is offering scholarships to seniors at 23 Dallas ISD high schools, regardless of their GPA or family income. Hillcrest, Thomas Jefferson and W.T. White students are eligible to earn a full-tuition scholarship, as long as they sign a “promise pledge” by Wednesday, Jan. 31.
