Sudie Williams is a neighborhood school without any neighborhood kids.

Roughly 850 children who live in the Bluffview area attend private or charter schools instead, according to Dallas ISD data compiled using census estimates.

Little attention from homeowner families, along with renovations at the nearby apartment complex Gates of Bluffview, has left the school under enrolled.

Dallas ISD is considering converting the elementary school into a magnet school for grades 4-8. Sudie Willliams students then would be bussed to K.B. Polk Center for Academically Talented and Gifted during the 2018-2019 school year.

The DISD board of trustees will vote on the proposal Thursday, Jan. 25, during its regular meeting.
