Ty Montgomery
St. Mark’s School of Texas Class of 2011

What he’s up to now:
Ty Montgomery is a running back for the Green Bay Packers, much to the chagrin of Cowboys fans. He was a third-round pick in the 2015 draft, but dual wrist and rib injuries kept him off the field most of the season. Montgomery devotes his free time to helping children in foster care. In 2017, he teamed up with the Coalition for Children, Youth and Families to recruit potential foster parents.

Three things to know
1) Montgomery’s mother, Lisa, fostered and raised 17 children as a single parent because he wanted siblings. “It turned from one to next thing you know we’re taking in families,” Montgomery told ESPN. “It speaks to the kind of person she is. It really does.”

2) He majored in political science at Stanford, where he played wide receiver. As a college athlete, he had a team-high of 61 receptions for 604 yards.

3) Montgomery was a five-sport athlete at St. Mark’s. Besides football, he played lacrosse, baseball, basketball and ran track.
