Lamplighter third- and fourth-graders packed more than 400 lunch and snack bags for Family Gateway, a nonprofit that assists nearly 400 families who are homeless. The event is part of the Lamplighter Parents’ Association’s annual community outreach.
St. Mark’s School of Texas fourth-graders have some of the best vocabularies in the country, if the results of the WordMasters Challenge is any indication. The students placed third overall in the national competition, and Whit Edwards, Joshua Goforth, Winston Lin, Ollie Morgan, William Taylor and Andrew Zhang earned a perfect score.
