A group of Hockaday students are gearing up for the First Lego League (FLL) World Festival in April. The students, who named themselves the Hockabots, won first place Saturday, Feb. 3, at the North Texas FLL Championship Robotics Tournament. Sixty teams participated in the competition, which required the students to build and program a robot that can complete tasks in 150 seconds.

More than 500 students at Thomas Jefferson High School are learning about financial literacy and personal branding. The teens participated in a two-day leadership conference at Fidelity Investments, who also is leading an all-girls finance class at the Preston Hollow high school.
