With a string of Austin-based businesses coming to the neighborhood, it’s not all that surprising JuiceLand claimed a spot at 5600 W. Lovers Lane.
The chain — which offers pressed juices, smoothies and healthy snacks — introduced itself to Lovers Lane shopping center patrons on Valentine’s Day. Its grand opening is slated Saturday, Feb. 24, and all proceeds will be donated to Refugee Services of Texas.
Owner Matt Shook is an Austinite now, but his roots are planted in our neighborhood. Shook went to W.T. White, and he met his wife, Kelly, in Dallas. When they were high school sweethearts, they spent date nights at Inwood Theater.
“The Bluffview neighborhood has a special place in my heart,” Shook said in a news release. “I had the best of times there back in high school and have many good friends who still live in the area.”
