Oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens has sold his Preston Hollow mansion, reports Dallas Morning News real estate writer Steve Brown.

Dallas energy investment firm executive John G. Calvert purchased the 8,906-square-foot Mediterranean-style estate at 9434 Alva Ct., according to Brown. The house had been for sale for almost $6 million.

Former society writer Alan Peppard had an exclusive look at Picken’s 23,000-square-foot Panhandle ranch. The ranch, which is on 68,000 acres, is also for sale.
