North Haven Gardens is hosting a Spring Gallery Walk, featuring “Petals & Patterns in The Gallery. The free event, which is presented by Dallas Arts Dealers, is Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can also visit nearby DADA member Valley House Gallery & Sculpture Garden.

Steven Spielberg’s “Ready Player One” opens at the Inwood Theatre in 2D on Wednesday, March 28 at 7:00pm, with daily screenings in 2D and 3D beginning Thursday, March 29. This  science fiction movie is about a man who leaves his fortune to the first person who can find a digital Easter egg hidden in his Virtual Reality universe.

POINT, Meadows’ improvisational ensemble, presents its free annual spring concert Monday, April 2, 7:30 p.m., at Caruth Auditorium, Owen Arts Center, 6101 Bishop Blvd. on the SMU campus.


Interabang Books hosts author Elizabeth Smart, Monday, April 2, at 7 p.m. Her book, “Where There’s Hope: Healing, Moving Forward, and Never Giving Up,” tells how she moved forward after her abduction by religious fanatic Brian David Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee. She also shares how others have overcome adversity.
