Does Preston Hollow need a dog park?

Some in the neighborhood are unleashed about a proposed dog park at Preston and Nuestra. Proponents say they are making use of city property purchased for an unfunded library. Detractors are concerned about the noise and more.

A community meeting will take place May 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Walnut Hill Recreation Center (10111 Midway Road). Council members Jennifer Staubach Gates and Lee Kleinman plan to be there to get feedback. The Melshire Homeowners Association reports on the issue here. Another chance to give feedback is at a “pop-up” dog park on June 2 at the site.

The June issue of the Preston Hollow Advocate will have a complete story on the issue.
