Police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with the murder of 26-year old Carla Patricia Flores-Pavon, they said during a press conference. The woman was found dead in her North Dallas apartment earlier this week.
Jimmy Eugene Johnson III is being held in Walker County, where police discovered the victim’s property in his possession.
Waiving his right to counsel, Johnson admitted to the murder and to stealing the items.
Dallas police say they may enhance charges to capital murder.
