You won’t have to drive to Lake Highlands or Central Market for White Rock Coffee much longer.

The mom-and-pop shop is opening its fourth location at 5930 Royal Lane in the former Subway space. It’s slated to launch late this summer.

“We are very excited about the new location,” Nancy told CultureMap. “We sell our coffee beans at the Central Market store at Preston-Royal and that has received has so much interest, that we decided a local coffeehouse was the next step.”

Lake Highlands neighbors were flabbergasted when Starbucks opened barely a block from the beloved local java shop. The corporate coffee giant hasn’t slowed owners Nancy and Robert Baker, who purchased the adjacent space, formerly a Jack in the Box/Cash Loan, to train its baristas.
