Hal Wolff, Crime Watch Chair of the Melshire Estates Homeowner’s Association, reports a burglary in the 5700 block of Ridgetown Circle.
Entry was made through the rear window of the home, and various items were taken. The Dallas Police Department has investigated.
Leave some lights on in your home, Wolff says, especially if you are going to be out of town. If you are going to be out of your home, even for a short period of time, activate your alarm system
Ed Bright, Vice President of Crime Watch for the Northaven Park Neighborhood Association, reports two burglaries in the month of June. One took place in the reporting area of 3011 north of Northaven and one happened in the area of 3019 south of Northaven. He advises that you lock back gates with a single combination. Recent crimes show this has been how thieves are entering.
Bright also says he’s received reports of a guy on a bike painting street numbers on curbs and then demanding money. Don’t pay, he says. Instead, call 911.
