KidBiz and TheBiz have been situated in the heart of The Plaza at Preston Center for 25 years,  but that soon will no longer be the case. The two stores are moving to Inwood Village for a larger space.

Owners Janet and Jay Finegold explained that they want to bring their business to a community-oriented neighborhood, and they felt Inwood Village would be the best option. It has already established itself as a place for individually owned stores, restaurants and boutiques. The Finegolds hope the new location reaches more customers.

KidBiz originally started in 1989 by a former Neiman Marcus buyer and was later purchased by the Finegolds in 1995. “Our philosophy is simple – provide the newest and most fun fashions, gifts and accessories with personal service. We are part of the community and enjoy our neighbors and friends as customers,” the Finegolds said on their website.

The move, which is scheduled for September, will bring an updated look to the store, which is being imagined by design studio Coeval Studio. It’s not just aesthetics — this new layout is meant to help customers navigate more easily through the store.

The new Inwood Village address is 5370 W. Lovers Lane, next to the CVS.
