Back in May, Preston Hollow’s very own Tootsies collected donations of gently used clothing from around the neighborhood for The Salvation Army’s 27thAnnual Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show & Luncheon. Donations were sold in a silent auction before the main event. Between ticket sales and auctioned items, the volunteers recently announced that they raised $710,000.

The fashion show was held at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Some recognizable faces were spotted, including former First Lady Laura Bush.

During the event, Jan Pickens was given the 2018 Margot Perot Service Award. Pickens is an Auxiliary volunteer and she served The Salvation Army for over 20 years with 18 years of those years as a board member.
