Just in time for holiday shopping! Target  will open its first small-format store in the Dallas area this fall, according to Dallas Morning News retail expert Maria Halkias. The exterior sign went up last week on the Pavilion building in Preston Center at the southwest corner of Preston Road and Northwest Highway, she says. No need to drive to those other Targets to get your deals.

The store will have its grand opening Oct. 21, according to Halkias. The store is about one-third the size of a Super Target, Halkias says. The Target store is mostly taking up space formerly occupied by Ross Dress for Less in the Pavilion on the west side of the shopping center at Westchester Drive and Berkshire Lane.

Here’s a look at what a small-format store looks like in another city.
