The club, which has 240 members, according to Walters, plans its next event Oct. 11 with Doug Box, the son of Cloyce Box. The Box family’s home was the site of the filming of the TV show Dallas in 1978 before Southfork. The patriarch of the family, Cloyce Box, was the inspiration for the character of J.R. Ewing, she says. Doug Box has written two books about his dad and family.
