Preston Hills neighbor Anné Kouri Hughes, Director of Fine Arts at the Shelton School, unveiled her book, “My Life with Tom Hughes,” about husband Tom Hughes at Interabang Books Nov. 12 in a moving presentation with slides and anecdotes about his career. For more than three decades, Hughes helped elevate Dallas musical theater to national prominence, according to Interabang. Often referred to as the “Musicals Man of Dallas,” Hughes was producer and managing director of Dallas Summer Musicals. Anné Hughes spoke movingly about her husband, family and supporting the arts at the Shelton School. Year after year, she has influenced Shelton’s actors, musicians and behind-the-scenes technicians. Many have gone on to find scholarships under her guidance. She signed her books, “Thank you for supporting the arts.” Here’s where to get more information about the Tom Hughes project.
