City council member Jennifer Staubach Gates reports to the Melshire community that City Council will hear an agenda item about E.D. Walker Middle School zoning Jan. 9. The zoning has been approved by the City Plan Commission. “As this school is near your home or business,” she writes. “I’m providing information to the Melshire community in advance of that council meeting.”

Information about the zoning will be heard starting at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 1500 Marilla St. Check out the submitted Traffic Management Plan (TMP), schematics and drawings here.

She says the TMP was amended to address traffic flow concerns at the school. This will improve the intersection traffic operations at Nuestra and Wozencraft Drives.
