Saturday is National Pizza Day. Here are a few places in Preston Hollow where you can grab a slice or two and celebrate the holiday.

Mimi’s Pizzeria

Enjoy flatbread or deep-dish pizza at Mimi’s Pizzeria at 6807 W. Northwest Highway. Mimi’s allows customers to customize their own pizza or choose a specialty one. Speciality pizzas range from the basic Margarita to the Rossi Boston Pie that is topped with Italian sausage, hamburger and meatballs.

My Family’s Pizza

My Family’s Pizza at 10720 Preston Road Suite 1014 serves thin-crust pizza in a counter style. The restaurant has various speciality pizzas – three of which are named after famous Romans Agusutus, Caligula and goddess Venus. Or try the Full Moon pizza topped with Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, provolone, parmesan and ricotta cheeses.

I Fratelli Pizza

You won’t find a round pizza at I Fratelli Pizza at 4235 W. Northwest Highway – all their pizzas are oval. Create your own pie or pick from a variety of speciality pizzas including “The Staff’s Special” topped with grilled chicken, artichoke hearts and Roma tomatoes.

Franki’s Pizza & Pasta

Family-owned Franki’s Pizza & Pasta at 11722 Marsh Lane Suite 202 serves up classic Neapolitan pizza. You can also build your own pizza or add on toppings to speciality pizzas.

Matchbox Vintage Pizza Bistro

If you’re looked for a wood-fired pizza, head on over to Matchbox at 7859 Walnut Hill Lane Suite 140. Pick from a variety of artisan pizzas include a “very spicy” one called “Fire + Smoke” topped with chipotle puree, roasted garlic, onions, roasted red peppers, smoked gouda and basil.
