The Flamin’ Hot Cheetos cupcake will make a limited-time second appearance at Sprinkles Cupcakes at The Plaza at Preston Center.
Customers will have from March 18 through March 24 to stop in and buy the vanilla cake cupcake filled with crushed Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and topped with white-cheddar frosting and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos crumbles. The cupcake first made its appearance at the shop in July 2018.
Charles Craig, vice president of culinary for Sprinkles, told Guide Live that the cupcake shop likes experimenting with flavors, textures and styles.
“I look at it this way: Every once in a while, we like to put forward a product that makes you question, Should it even be a cupcake?” Craig told Guide Live. “This fit the bill.”
Comments on an Instagram post announcing the special cupcake have been a mixed bag so far. Some commenters are excited to try the combination, while others would rather not.
