The Barry Whistler Gallery has an interesting exhibit “Carol.” Photographer Paul Black presents some of his earliest works taken over the first two decades of his marriage to his wife Carol, who is an alumna of The Hockaday School. The exhibition, described in a Dallas Morning News story by Michael Granberry, is made up of 15 x 15” black and white portraits, as well as a collection of Polaroids ranging in dates from 1968-1972. The exhibition was curated by Allison V. Smith and 1814 Magazine. Smith attended Hockaday and graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas. The exhibit is open through July 27. Check it out at 315 Cole Street, Suite 120. Carol is now 72.
