If you’ve been hoping for a new steakhouse with great drinks to open in the neighborhood, you’re in luck.
Drake’s will open at 5007 W. Lovers Lane in October, Dallas Culture Map reported. The steakhouse is the newest restaurant concept from Hunter Pond, founder and CEO of Vandelay Hospitality Group which also operates the East Hampton Sandwich Co. and Hudson House.
Pond said in a statement that Drake’s was inspired be old-school classic West Coast hangout spots.
Drake’s will only be open for dinner and will feature live jazz music from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursdays and DJs from 10 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
“My vision for Drake’s is to be a comfortable, yet sophisticated place to hang out with friends,” Pond said in a statement. “We are huge fans of this neighborhood and we believe this concept will thrive due to the need for fun places to have dinner – keyword being fun.”
