Dallas Morning News columnist and Preston Hollow resident Robert Wilonsky reports that 5 acres on the southeast corner of Inwood and Walnut Hill will be developed into five mansions placed on an acre each. ” ‘The Gates at Preston Hollow,’ the new signs say, promising before summer’s end a groundbreaking on this idyllic corner,” Wilonsky writes. “Soon this vestigial remnant of farmland, the ownership of which we can trace back to the 1850s, will be carved up and obscured behind concrete.” Read his obituary for the Preston Hollow landmark here.
