Preston Hollow resident Grant McCarty scored a grand goal when his team needed it most.
McCarty helped Solar Soccer Club earn the 16-17 national title at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Championship in Irvine, California.
A rising senior at Parish Episcopal, McCarty secured the goal and broke a scoreless tie. Solar clenched the win 4-2 after a stellar penalty kick performance against Concorde Fire of Atlanta.
