Outstanding Hillcrest High School graduates from across the country will be honored Sept. 26 at Northwood Country Club. Here are the honorees: Dennis Brack, a world renowned photographer; Larry Newman, a well-known Dallas attorney; Worth Nowlin, a distinguished professor of oceanography at Texas A&M; and Dan Stultz, M.D. recognized as one of the most influential hospital administrators in the country. All will be awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award. Glenda Straw Williams, a Dallas community leader, will be awarded the Distinguished Volunteer Award. This year, Richard “Bear” Amber, now deceased, will also be recognized for his creation of Challenge Air. This non-profit continues to offer small plane rides to children with physical disabilities. All have deep roots in Texas and in Dallas. The Platinum Panther Dinner will be sponsored by the Hillcrest High School Alumni Association at the Northwood Club.
