Jesuit art exhibit: Bill DeOre

What: Bill DeOre shared the Dallas Morning newsroom with author Mark McDonald, while both served as volunteer coaches in youth sports. Mark McDonald’s book Beyond The Big Shootout, takes a trip through that 1969 epic of a football game between the University of Arkansas and Texas. Check out DeOre’s art at Jesuit Dallas Musuem.

Winspear world premieres

What: Curated by The Dallas Opera set and costume designer Tommy Bourgeois, the exhibition features 19th-century seafarers, modern-day mountaineers and contemporary opera stars. Expect costumes from Moby-Dick, Everest, Great Scott and Becoming Santa Claus.
