I love Stephanie because her son goes to Shelton, and that’s the best school ever,  but honestly I can barely watch The Real Housewives of Dallas. I tried. It’s my job. My daughter and I talk about it after each episode. Here’s the truth: It’s really boring. The Real Housewives of Potomac is more interesting. Potomac?! RHOD has jumped the shark. No one cares. And there are so many more important things to do. Here are three more meaningful things you can do with your time instead:

  1.  Check out Bill DeOre’s art at the Jesuit Dallas Museum through Dec. 20

2. Winspear world premieres. Curated by The Dallas Opera set and costume designer Tommy Bourgeois, the exhibition features 19th-century seafarers, modern-day mountaineers and contemporary opera stars. Expect costumes from Moby-Dick, Everest, Great Scott and Becoming Santa Claus. When: through Nov. 6. Where: NorthPark Center, Level One between Neiman Marcus and Dillard’s

3. Kickin’ it to Cancer Weekend with Cattle Baron’s Ball. NorthPark and its retailers will dedicate the entire weekend to raising money and awareness for cancer research with Cattle Baron’s Ball. The following retailers will donate a percentage of sales back to Cattle Baron’s Ball over the weekend: Coach, Fabiana Filippi, The Frye Company, John Varvatos, RIMOWA, Rebecca Taylor NYC, Stuart Weitzman, TAG Heuer, PAIGE, MCM, Vineyard Vines, Pinto Ranch Fine Western Wear, Johnny Was. Celebrations also include a live DJ and informal modeling in the common area.
