Last night’s episode of the Real Housewives of Dallas can be summed up as the one where the ladies smeared mud on themselves in a Mexican sweat lodge.  There was also a lot of mud slinging with fights erupting all over. It’s also the episode where Stephanie confessed she was back on anti-depressants (girl, that’s nothing to be ashamed of!) and Brandi admitted she grew up in a trailer (also, nothing to be ashamed of). But I loved this episode the most so far this season because of the killer quotes:

  • Stephanie (oh, how I love her) about entering the sweat lodge: “We are Hansel and Gretel, and she’s going to try to eat us.”
  • Kameron: “I felt icky.”
  • Kameron: “Why am I hanging out with this group when I get attacked like this?”
  • LeeAnne: “This is the worst trip ever and I got a flesh-eating bacteria last time I was in Mexico.”
  • LeeAnne: “My mother abandoned me as a child” and “I’m not trying to cause problems. I’m trying to fit in.” (LeeAnne did not participate in the mud-smearing sweat lodge experience with the others, by the way.)
  • LeeAnne: “A shot is the same as a blow job. Why would I swallow all that so fast when I don’t want to swallow any of it.” (I think this quote propels the Preston Hollow neighbor above all of the other housewives — Orange County, Beverly Hills, Atlanta, Potomo, New York, New Jersey.)
  • Kameron: “Queso for everyone.”
  • LeeAnne to Brandi: “White trash sets you off.”
  • LeeAnne to Brandi: “I’m trying to give grace and be thoughtful” and “One of us is going to get eaten by a dinosaur and one of us isn’t.”
  • Stephanie: “I know Brandi gets sweaty eyes and walks around like a T-rex, but she’s not a dinosaur. She’s our friend.”

Observations:

  • LeeAnne looked really cute in braids and with very little makeup.
  • If Kameron is from Cali, why does she pronounce “conversation” with a Texas drawl? We must be rubbing off on her.
  • Kameron + tequila = fun.
  • D’Andra looks good with less makeup.
  • What is ginger mezcal? Here’s a recipe to try from wholefoodsexplorer:  Ingredients
    • 2 ounces mezcal
    • .5-1 ounce simple syrup
    • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
    • 1/4 ounce plus 1 teaspoon fresh ginger juice
    • 2 drops toasted sesame oil
    • 1 1/2 ounces chilled club soda

Can’t wait for next week when it looks like LeeAnne goes all carnie in the lingerie department.
