Steve Miller, who was kicked out of St. Mark’s and then graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, played at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Sept. 28. Some of his collection of 400 guitars are featured in the museum’s “Play it Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll” exhibit. Miller played 14 songs and dedicated “Living in the USA” to “our brothers and sisters serving in the military,” according to Best Classic Bands.

On Oct. 11, the Steve Miller Band will release Welcome To The Vault, a detailed collection of rare/unreleased/demo recordings. The group has been premiering tracks from the set in the weeks leading up to its release, and one of the latest is an alternate take of the song “Space Cowboy.”
