Brian Lee, a teacher at Claire’s Day School, shared a sweet story on NextDoor. Months ago, an 82-year-old woman came to the school to donate a carload full of stuffed animals. She told the staff the toys came from a friend, a 96-year-old veteran named Ray, who frequents area yard sales and purchases things to give to others. “One of the stuffed animals given to us was a larger than life, 6-foot teddy bear with whom the kids have absolutely fallen in love,” Lee says. The giant bear (pictured above) is named Ray. Lee and the staff didn’t ask the woman her name. If you are the kind female stranger or Ray, the folks at Claire’s would like to thank you for your kindness. You can tell us by emailing lkresl@advocatemag.com or message Brian Lee on NextDoor.  “Thank you to Ray for putting smiles on kids’ faces each day,” Lee says.
