What: NorthPark Center features Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and Art for Advocacy. Resilient is a selection of works that are available in the Art for Advocacy silent and live auctions on Saturday, Nov. 9. Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center coordinates the investigation and prosecution of the most severe cases of child abuse. DCAC provides evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy. For more information, go to DCAC.org.

October Fun. Preston Royal Branch Library

What: Pumpkin Party. Use paint, glitter, paper, ribbons, etc. to decorate your pumpkin as a book character from a children’s book.  No carved pumpkins accepted.  “Come vote for your  favorite. We will play games and serve refreshments.  Pumpkins will be displayed in the library through the end of the month.”

When: Oct 23, 3:30 -4:30 p.m.

Ride the Trail – Saturday, October 26th

What: Have you been looking for an opportunity to check out the Trail?

When: Meet at the Pensive Drive parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 26. Cyclists will leave at 8:15 a.m for a slow, social ride from there to the Freda Stern Respite area, a distance of approximately 8 miles. If you’re interested in a longer ride, join fellow cyclists for the Eastside Taco Ride. Plan to depart the Freda Stern Respite at 9:15. The ride will take you to The Lot restaurant, a distance of about 10 miles.
