NorthPark Center and Dallas Children Advocacy Center present Resilient

What: NorthPark Center is proud to support Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and its largest fundraiser, Art for Advocacy. Resilient is a selection of works that are available in the Art for Advocacy silent and live auctions on Saturday, Nov. 9.

AIA Dallas Tour of Homes

What: Curated by architects, the tour will feature two Preston Hollow homes: the Sexton home by Eckxstudio for Modern Architecture and the Caladium Drive home by NIMMO. The 2019 AIA Dallas Tour of Homes is presented by Porcelanosa. Proceeds from the tour benefit AIA Dallas, the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects, which aims to advance architecture and design.

When: The tour is Nov. 2-3, 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

First Laura Bush Book Club 

What: The George W. Bush Presidential Center will present the Laura Bush Book Club with The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency author Alexander McCall Smith,” as part of the “Engage at the Bush Center, presented by Highland Capital Management” series. Meredith Land of NBC 5 will moderate.

Crisis of Confidence: For Parents of Teens and Tweens

What: This presentation considers: Why do perfectly great kids struggle with self-confidence? What are the elements which constitute confidence? Farm Tour with the Seed Project Foundation

What: Board the bus at NorthPark Center and enjoy a day of Texas-made drinks, locally-sourced dishes from three of the area’s best chefs. Learn how local farmers and ranchers keep us fed. Stop 1: Profound Microfarm in Lucas. Stop 2: McKinney Roots in McKinney paired with Andrea Shackelford of Harvest Seasonal Kitchen. Stop 3: Cartermere Farms in Celina paired with Chef Junior Borges of Village Hospitality.
