What: Fat Straws Bubble Tea Co. features limited time menu items for Mardi Gras. The King Cake chewy puff donut is iced with a Swiss white chocolate glaze and decorated purple, green and gold sprinkles. $5 for 2 donuts. The Hurricane mocktail is topped with sea salt cheese foam that tastes like a creamsicle.

What: TJ’s Seafood Market Preston Royal location will feature half price New Orleans Hurricanes on Fat Tuesday. It’s $4.50 for a small or $7.50 for a jumbo.

Ashes to Go
What: This Ash Wednesday, Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church’s Rector Christopher Girata will have the ashes blessed during the beginning of the noon service, then walk three blocks to offer Preston Center’s passers-by a cross-shaped smear of ash on the forehead and the words, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
