The Kips Bay Decorator Show House concept, which invites interior designers to transform a luxury home for a good cause, is coming to Dallas. The Kips Bay Decorator Show House started 47 years ago in Manhattan and raises money for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. There have also been Kips Bay Decorator Show Houses in Palm Beach, Florida, for three years. The Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas will partially benefit Dwell with Dignity, a Dallas-based nonprofit that provides low-income families new permanent housing with furniture, bedding, professional interior styling, food and more. “The club chose Dallas as its newest outpost, due to the bustling and growing design community in Texas,” reads a release. Dallas chairs include Steele Marcoux, Christopher Peacock and Jan Showers, as well as vice-chairs Jean Lui and Chad Dorsey. The opening night preview party in Dallas is Sept. 24, and the Dallas house will be open to the public Sept. 25-Oct. 25. If you’re a designer who would like to be considered, visit kipsbaydecoratorshowhouse.org.
